A Special Testimony

I would never be able to explain how good God has been to me all my life. I was the youngest in a rather large family and was blessed to be raised by Christian parents. I learned as a young teenager that there was something missing in my life that only Christ could fill and I asked him to do just that. I have made many mistakes along the way but I am so thankful that God always lets us know what we have to do when we mess us and he is ready to forgive us and get us on the right path again.
God has blessed me with a good husband who is my best earthly friend and a wonderful son that I wouldn't trade and all the rest of our family. I've had many special friends down through the years and a special church family.
There has been valleys and mountain tops as well. I think one of my lowest points was when my husband was diagnosed with serious heart problems and we were told he was facing by-pass surgery. I was so full of worry and fear and I thought I could just handle it but I soon realized the problem was much too big for me. God was much bigger than the problem and he took over when I gave it to him. After many more heart stents and surgeries,God has been with us through everyone of them.
In October 2009, I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. The Lord has given me such peace over this that it is hard to explain. There have been moments when I have felt sad but not very many. I know that God has definitely heard all the prayers of his people that have gone up on my behalf. I am so blessed that God is always available and he never uses an answering machine and we never have to email him to get his attention. I have really had to learn what it means to lean on his everlasting arms.
As a very special friend of mine always says "What A Mighty God We Serve". Without God where would I be?
